Network marketing has entered a new era, a brighter era. Once upon a time, network marketers endured a certain level of scorn and derision. Once you start gathering connections you have a direct line to people who are interested in your niche, and can offer content to them without having to wait for them to search you out on Google, and without having to hope that they happen to find you on the search engines. Fighting to get to the top of the search engines is time and energy consuming, but using social media marketing to help your targeted audience “plug in” to what you have to offer as you offer it.
You can find the people that you most need to connect with and communicate with by how they align themselves on Facebook. You can look for a series of interests and you can join groups that are specifically meant to talk to people who have certain interests. By aligning your activities with your company and niche you ensure that the people you are spending time talking with are people who are going to want to get behind you and get passionate about doing what you’re doing. Best of all, you are no longer limited to all of the people who are within range of the area that you can reasonably drive. You can talk to people all over the country—all over the world!
The Internet also gives you an edge when it comes to managing your team. You can set up a forum just for them, use social media to stay in touch and use a dedicated website to offer leadership and training. The number one reason network marketing teams fail is a lack of leadership from the sponsor. If you can mitigate that and provide that leadership in a time-efficient way, you will have the edge you need to ensure success. A forum, by the way, is easy and free thanks to sites like phpBB3.
All of this works together beautifully when you think about network marketing in a whole new way. Think of it as it was meant to be—a powerful way of creating relationships that create something positive for everyone involved. Then you can use all of these powerful tools to achieve the strong relational end that strong, integrity-filled network marketing companies had a vision of all along.
